School Uniform

We are proud of our school uniform as it gives our children a strong sense of identity and helps them shine as a light in our community. It reflects the values we stand for—pride, respect, and unity. We kindly ask all parents to support us by ensuring children wear the correct uniform in line with our policy.

The Oratory's Uniform (Winter and Summer)

Girls
  • Burgundy Cardigan
  • White Polo Shirt
  • Grey Skirt, pinafore or trousers. 
  • Grey or Black Tights
  • Black Shoes (No trainers or boots)
  • Burgundy Cardigan
  • Burgundy Gingham Summer Dress
  • White or Grey Socks
  • Black Shoes (No trainers or boots)
Boys
  • Burgundy Jumper
  • White Polo Shirt
  • Grey Trousers. 
  • Black Shoes (No trainers or boots)

  • Grey Shorts.
  • Grey Socks.

Shoes

In all cases, black ‘sensible’ shoes should be worn as part of the school uniform – never trainers or girls fashion shoes or boots. This extends to footwear for playtime.

PE Kit

At the Oratory RC Primary and Nursery School, children come to school in their PE kit on PE days. This consists of:

  • A school jumper or cardigan.
  • A white t-shirt.
  • Some plain tracksuit bottoms
  • Pair of suitable trainers.

Branded Tracksuits WILL NOT be permitted.

Jewellery and Accessories

We follow strict Health and Safety guidelines regarding Jewellery and Accessories for children in school. We do not allow children to wear jewellery or accessories while they are in school as it is not in-keeping with the smart appearance of our school uniform.

The exceptions to this rule are that children may a simple watch and a simple pair of stud earrings.

Necklaces, bracelets, anklets, bangles, bands and rings are not permitted in school.
